****************************SACRIFICE**************************

At 0300 hours this morning, Dungducheon airbase was neutralized by
a surpise North Korean attack. Sappers infiltrated the base's perimeter
and launched a mortar attack on the base's defenses, destoying most of
the aircraft on the ground along with AA positions. The few aircraft
that made it off the ground were driven off by enemy fighters racing
across the border. Our forces, caught completely off guard, were unable
to prevent them from capturing the airbase. Enemy helos quickly moved
to deploy ground personnel to operate their newly captured, fully
functional airbase. A recon F-16 was able to make a pass, reporting
that fighters were being fueled and armed on the ground and heavy lift
aircraft unloading ground equipment. However we lost contact a moment
later, so assume they already have SAM defenses up and running. We also
suspect they are staging ground attack aircraft, most likely MiG-27s and
possibly some Bears. If the North Koreans are allowed to use Dungducheon
to base their attack aircraft out of, it will put our flank in jeopardy.
Dungducheon must cease to exist as a viable airbase, so it is to be
sacrificed. F-14s will draw off the CAP fighters, while your wingmen
will hit the AA. You are to destroy all of the aircraft on the ground,
the control tower, fuel dump, and runways. B-52's will level the rest of
the base. This is one we can't afford to lose. Make Dungducheon's
sacrifice worth it.
